It doesn't seem real that tomorrow is our last day together in Kindergarten. Maybe it's because the weather feels more like April. Regardless of how I feel, tomorrow is it. We dismiss at 12:30 with a huge send-off for the fourth-graders. If you have questions about anything after tomorrow, please email me. I check email throughout the summer. I have been blessed by every family in so many ways. Every family has been terrific to work with. It's rare that a teacher can say this. Thank you for trusting me with your most precious gift, your child. Mrs. Bailey May Tiger Pride Awards for the class: Golden Tray, Art, and Computer Lab CD. Students who won classroom awards! Field Day Fun, May 11, 2016This week has been sweet - really sweet! There is candy, popcorn, Coke, and chocolate stashed in many places near my desk. I've truly enjoyed watching the kids as they deliver gifts for Teacher Appreciation Week. Their little faces lit up as they surprised me. Your kind emails and notes throughout the year are uplifting. This week of gifts topped off the year. I also received the survey results from the district teacher survey this week. My heart swelled with happiness as I read them. Thank you for letting me know that you've appreciated what I strive to do for the kids. Teaching is rewarding and difficult at the same time. Parents support makes a dramatic difference. Thank you for being parents who work with me for to help your child succeed. Theme: We've had fun learning about frogs and creating the life cycle with clay, egg cartons, and paint. It was so much fun to have nine of my kids attend. Please send pictures if you took them. I was busy dancing and didn't get good pictures. In your child's mail today you will find a file folder with various work I've kept throughout the year and the behavior calendars. These are yours to keep. There is also a lunch bag with seeds planted in a biodegradable container. This is for Mom! We had sprouts, but they were weak. I added seeds that a child brought me this week. A bit of water and sun and you will have a beautiful plant!
